Ms. Viscon oversees the co-op’s gear and apparel assortment of more than 1,400 leading and emerging brands and REI’s award-winning Co-op line. Last year, she helped lead REI to record company revenues of $2.56 billion. A 20-year industry veteran, Ms. Viscon has led efforts to develop partnerships with the industry’s top brands and searched the world for innovative and new brands to deliver award-winning outdoor gear and apparel to REI members.

As the co-op focuses on making the outdoors the world’s largest level playing field for all through its “Force of Nature” initiative, Ms. Viscon has been instrumental in encouraging brands to invest more heavily in designing and developing women’s-specific outdoor performance gear with a focus on better fit and function.  

Currently serving as board president for Camber Outdoors, a Boulder, Colo.-based nonprofit dedicated to elevating women in leadership roles and participation in outdoor recreation. She has been recognized by Sporting Goods Business magazine as one of the “40 under 40” leaders of influence in the outdoor industry.

Along with her family, Ms. Viscon enjoys camping, skiing and traveling domestically and abroad.
