Panel Discussion: Retail Development - the changing face of retail
Hans Allmendinger has cumulated roughly 25 years of experience in the marketing sector, gathered and strengthened in various brands before moving to the retail market. He puts this wealth of knowledge to use as Director Marketing and Communication at SPORT 2000 Deutschland GmbH, which has some 1,000 specialist sports retailers throughout Germany.
The ZGV (German Federation of Buying and Marketing Groups) commended the company’s marketing prowess by giving it the ZGV Innovation Award for ‘Most Innovative Marketing Company in Class’ for Allmendinger’s SPORT 2000 marketing strategies.
Following on from his degree in business administration, Allmendinger began his career as a trainee at Braun AG where he stayed for the next five years, ending as Marketing Manager Central Europe East.From there he moved to Nike Inc. where he took on various positions in the Marketing and Product divisions (e.g. Product Manager Outdoor Footwear) until 2006 when he joined SPORT 2000.
