Redefining Boundaries - From Performance to Purpose - Towards a Next Generation of Ingredient Branding

Branded components or so called Ingredient Brands have been instrumental to the growth of the Outdoor Industry in the past decades. Breakthrough technologies for fibres, fabrics, zippers, closure system or footwear soles helped to lift the performance of Outdoor Equipment to previously unknown heights. More than that, leading ingredient brands have become a seal of trust and are often decisive for the buying decision of finished products. In a changing consumer environment for the Outdoor Industry, it's logical that the role of Ingredient Brands is also changing. This keynote will address the role and importance of Ingredient Branding for the growth of the Outdoor Industry today and in the future. It will also highlight a predicted shift from purely performance-driven components towards a more purpose-driven 'Next Generation' of Ingredient Brands.

Beyond Boundaries - Jamie Andrew

The greatest boundaries we face in our lives are the ones we impose upon ourselves. Jamie will challenge and encourage others to throw out these misconceptions, to go beyond these boundaries, and to be all they can be.
Through telling the story of his remarkable journey from hospital bed to mountain summit, Jamie explains how he was able to find inspiration, even in the of darkest days, how he learnt the power of breaking down big challenges into much smaller, achievable pieces, and how he used goal setting, motivational techniques and the bond he had with those around him, to not only rebuild his life, but to go on to a whole new level of achievement.
Jamie has come to believe that the challenges we all face in life are 95% mental, and only 5% other factors. His story, recounted with honesty and passion, is nothing short of incredible.
